What differentiates FE-LIP® liposomal iron from the iron in traditional form?

Additional absorption route - high efficiency

FE-LIP® contains:

  • free iron (not closed in liposomes)- similar to other preparations in the traditional form,
  • iron closed in liposomes.

This allows iron to be absorbed by two independent transport routes:

  • via the circulatory system - this absorption mechanism is used in traditional iron preparations available on the market,
  • via the lymphatic system – this iron absorption mechanism is only possible with liposomal preparations (e.g. FE-LIP®).

The use of both ways of iron absorption in FE-LIP® allows to significantly improve its absorption and increases the effectiveness of the preparation.

Lower risk of side effects *,**

The liposomal form of iron ensures a lower risk of side effects of the digestive system, typical for iron used in a traditional form, including such as: metallic taste, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, constipation.*,**

Due to iron encapsulation, FE-LIP® does not cause excessive bacteria growth responsible for the occurrence of side effects.

Growth curves of bacteria responsible for gastrointestinal side effects in the presence of free iron versus iron encapsulated in liposomes were assessed. The test results indicate that iron closed in liposomes does not affect the growth of bacteria, unlike free iron.

How to use FE-LIP® 7 mg

One sachet of FE-LIP® contains 7 mg of iron.

Directions for use FE-LIP® 7 mg:

  • the product is intended for children and adolescents from 1 to 18 years of age during intensive growth, with an increased iron demand;
  • portion of the product recommended for consumption during a day: young children, children and adolescents 1 sachet once daily. Girls from 10 to 18 years of age after the first menstrual period: 2 sachets daily*.
  • before using the preparation by young children and children under 12 years of age, consult a paediatrician.
  • FE-LIP® 7 mg can be ingested directly or dissolve in a small amount of still water. It can be consumed with a meal. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake.
  • the food supplement is not a substitute for a varied diet. A balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle are recommended.
  • pregnant and breast-feeding women should consult a doctor before using FE-LIP®. In children aged 1-3 years, do not use with other preparations containing iron.
  • hypersensitivity to any ingredient of the product is a contraindication for use.

One sachet of FE-LIP® contains 7 mg of iron.

FE-LIP® 7 mg packaging contains 30 sachets.

FE-LIP® 7 mg retains proper quality for 24 months from the date of manufacturing when stored accordingly to manufacturer indications on the packaging.

The expiry date is on each of the sachets.

FE-LIP® 7 mg should be stored:

  • in tightly sealed packaging
  • at 5°C – 25°C (41°F – 77°F)
  • in a dry place, away from light sources
  • out of sight and reach of young children

One sachet of FE-LIP® contains 20 mg of iron.

Directions for use FE-LIP® 20 mg:

  • the product is intended for adults with an increased demand for iron. The increased demand for iron occurs, i.a., in pregnant women, women in the peri-menstrual period, in blood donors, vegetarians and vegans. *, ** The availability of iron depends on its form and the quality of the food consumed. The food supplement is not a substitute for a varied diet. A balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle are recommended.
  • portion of the product recommended for consumption during a day- 1 sachet once daily.
  • FE-LIP® 20 mg can be ingested directly or dissolve in a small amount of still water. It can be consumed with a meal. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake.
